california scuba diving that ends with open water courses in Mexico, HI etc? ?

Hey, id love to get my scuba license. I have no experience, and have only dont snorkling and free diving so far. I was wondering if there was a scuba dive center near sacramento that offered courses that started at the store and then ended with an open water session in mexico or another area like that.

All certification agencies allow what are called referrals. A referral is when one completes the academic and confined water portions of a scuba course with the intention of completing their open water portion elsewhere. Some certifying agencies require that you complete the open water portion of the course with a facility of the same agency affiliation while others offer what is called a global referral which means you may complete your open water dives with a facility with a different agency affiliation.
Upon satisfactory completion of the academic and confined water portions of the course the student is issued a referral form which they bring with them to present to the facility conducting the open water portion.
You can go on the various certification agency’s websites to locate a scuba training facility in Sacramento and a facility in Mexico or Hawaii
